Located between Lugano & Lake Como
Ideally located between two iconic destinations—Lugano and Lake Como—Tenuta Luigina offers a peaceful escape just minutes from it all. Tucked behind the small town of Stabio, our vineyard feels pleasantly removed from the everyday—surrounded by nature, and a sense of calm that makes you forget how close you are to city life.
To the north, Lugano offers lakeside elegance, Swiss precision, and a vibrant mix of culture, cuisine, and natural beauty. To the south, Lake Como captivates with its dramatic landscapes, charming lakeside towns, and a relaxed atmosphere steeped in Italian heritage.
Whether arriving from Swiss sophistication or Italian allure, you’ll find yourself in a place where borders blur and time slows—a setting that invites you to relax, connect, and savour the moment.

Terroir with soul
It all starts and depends on the terroir. The identity of our wines is a meticulously calculated by nature sum of unique soils a specific microclimate, and a careful selection of grapes from noble varieties.
Ticino’s unique position—nestled between the southern slopes of the Alps and the influence of a milder, almost Mediterranean climate—makes it a remarkable region for winemaking. Here, altitude, sunshine, and soil converge to create optimal conditions for cultivating characterful, expressive wines.
The terrain is rich in diversity: granite, gneiss, and mineral-laden soils provide excellent drainage and lend structure and complexity to the grapes. Long, sun-drenched days are balanced by cool Alpine nights, helping to preserve freshness, aromatic intensity, and natural acidity.
This dynamic microclimate allows both red and white varieties to thrive—most notably Merlot, which has become the region’s signature grape, alongside promising expressions of Viognier and Johanniter.

Among the Vines
Our winemaking journey begins across three vineyards, nestled in the gentle hills of Canton Ticino.
In Vacallo, the “Gemma dell’Est” vineyard is home to one of our most cherished labels—named in honor of the very land it grows on.
In Stabio, “Ronco delle Noci,” where our winery is based, is a peaceful green haven framed by ancient trees and silence—an oasis for our wines to grow and rest.
The third vineyard, a small plot in Morbio Superiore, has been dedicated to Viognier since 2014.
Tenuta Luigina is the result of a careful restoration of a historic property in Stabio, where each space has been lovingly brought back to life.
What was once an old tool shed is now our working cellar, where wines quietly await their time to be bottled.
The former greenhouse has become a modern tasting room—where our passion takes form in every uncorked bottle, whether shared among friends or paired thoughtfully with food.
